Ready Set Go!

School Readiness Programme:

This programme prepares children to transition into more academically driven learning once they have mastered class readiness skills. Literacy and numeracy are a priority, alongside building independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, toileting, feeding, and managing belongings. Social communication and play skills are expanded, and children are introduced to an Early Years Inquiry Curriculum to help them better understand and navigate their learning environment. This Curriculum has been adapted from the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) of ICA from the UK.

Who it's for: 4 - 6 years old

Children who are preparing for mainstream (International School Grade 1/Year 1 or Mainstream Schools) and are ready for more focused academic learning, independence, and functions in a socially dynamic environment, in school, at home and in the community.

Programme Highlights:

  • Literacy and numeracy foundations

  • Inquiry-based learning and problem-solving activities

  • Group projects and structured play

  • Independent task completion and self-management skills

  • Role-play and social interaction practice

Targeted Skills:

  • Literacy (recognising letters, understanding letter sounds, building vocabulary, enjoying stories, and beginning to read simple words and sentences. These skills prepare them for confident reading and communication as they grow.)

  • Numeracy (recognising numbers, counting objects, understanding simple addition and subtraction, identifying shapes, and noticing patterns. These activities help children build a strong foundation for future math learning.)

  • Independence in ADLs (toileting, dressing, organising belongings, feeding independently)

  • Social communication and cooperative play

  • Confidence and adaptability in structured learning
