Our Team - Lia Testa Teismann

I have been in education for nearly 20 years, teaching students of many ages, abilities and cultural contexts. I hold a Masters in Education, Diploma in English Language Teaching, a joint BA in International Affairs and Anthropology and numerous certificates in Teacher Training, Educational Psychology and Teaching Young Learners.

I started teaching preschool in Korea and then moved to Singapore where I taught pre-university students, adults and young learners in English Language Learning. I moved again, this time to France, for an international school job in the department of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I returned to Singapore in 2015 to head a Preschool and Primary Centre for the British Council before taking over as the Head of Upper Primary and Secondary at the Council. I am now thrilled to be working as the Head of School at DIS.
