Dynamics EIP Volunteering Experience Program (VEP)
What is the VEP?
The Volunteering Experience Program has been a good platform for new graduates and students who wish to experience working with children in an educational and early intervention practice. Volunteers get to work with the students and experience first-hand sessions conducted by speech and occupational therapists in the class.
Our Volunteering Experience Program allows the volunteer to experience the environment in an early intervention setting. The volunteers will assist the teachers in class and help in class management and transitions too. Volunteers get to work with students in a small group setting, with the guidance of teachers. Volunteers will be able to experience speech and occupational therapy in a group setting. Our Volunteer Experience Program has received rave reviews and some of our volunteers have gone on to become professionals in the education, speech and occupational therapy sector.
How long can I volunteer?
The minimum volunteering period is one month. Minimum volunteering days are 10 times in the month. Usually volunteers attend 3 sessions in a week. Volunteering is applicable only during EIP terms and school holiday program.
In terms of timing, our volunteers will report at 9 am for the morning session and 1.30 pm for the afternoon session. Some volunteers attend both sessions, namely from 9 am to 4.30 pm. All volunteers are to report to the Head of EIP directly and as long as the volunteers come in ready to learn, be proactive and initiative, volunteers will enjoy the time working with the students!
